Here is the film created by young people at the
Venny with Christie Stott and I, as part of a partnership
between the Venny and Chamber Made Opera. It screened at the Venny in
June 2013 for family and friends, alongside a very beautiful music and
theatre performance by the children called 'From Here to There'.

The Venny is a communal backyard and play space for children aged five to 16 from the Kensington public housing estate and surrounding areas. Chamber Made Opera have worked with them in 2012 and 2013 on a cross-cultural arts education project. In 2013 one group of kids were interested in making a film. Christie and I developed & shot the film with the kids during a series of 5 after-school sessions across 5 weeks, also working with the Venny's Danni Van Der Borch.
